They don't understand how LLMs work
If they can't explain, in plain words, how AI models find, process and cite information, they're guessing.
They have no measurement framework
Ask how they'll check whether the work is getting your business mentioned in AI answers. If they can't show you a before and after, you're paying blind.
They're just repackaging content marketing

What I've learned working with small businesses in Carson City
